but I routinely use the annual euphorbia, snow-on-the-mountain for arrangements each Labor Day for our annual garden club Flower Show at Olde Home Day. Since our floral creations only have to last one day, I have found that even without searing the ends the euphorbia will last through the show but not too much longer. (Westerly Sun, RI)

Succulents he says are a bit harder for him to grow perhaps because some are prone to rot as a result of over-watering especially Agave (he has 7 varieties of agave, 4 aloe, several crassula, Crown-of-thorns (Euphorbia milii), haworthis, Lewisia, sempervivum and yuccas, plus many others.
