    The interns were participants in the Isles Career Center/YouthBuild Institute and worked on garden projects from redesigning and planting flower beds, to performing regular garden chores, such as weeding and pruning under the direction of Morven intern leader, Alison Anu zis, a senior at Sarah Lawrence College. This is the 7th consecutive year that Morven Museum & Gar den has partnered in the Isles Career Center/YouthBuild Institute. (NJ.com -- Times)

    However, after a major pruning in late spring, it still appears fairly healthy with dark green foliage, though there are some dead areas in its interior and some yellowing leaves ... Pruning it back severely will reveal the bare interior ... He has pruned many of them hard to reduce their size, and they usually come back fine, although it is always possible that you could lose a plant or two after a major pruning.
